Dogs in House: 13 Mongrels rounded up: 0 Guests: 0 Total in Attendance: 13
At 0900, all Dogs partook in some Kibbles and some soft round chewy treat-treats. All were well fed and watered.

Pound Keeper PDD Tim Manchester called the Growl of the Pound for CWO3 Edward J. Albus Pound #370, NC Pack to order at 1000. Pound Keeper called for a moment of silence to remember those Dogs that have reported to the Supreme Commandant.
Pound Keeper Opening Statement:
A welcome was given to all members for attending the Growl of the Pound.
Police Dog PDD Steve Tracy led the Pledge of Allegiance.
Pound Dog Trainer PDD Alex “Gunner” Nevgloski Sr. gave the Opening Prayer and a moment of silence for our fallen brothers and sisters, and those sick and/or in distress.

Barking Dog PDD Tim Manchester reported the Scratchings have been posted to the website, emailed, and a notice was posted on the Facebook page. A copy was passed to all Dogs present at the Growl. PDD Manchester asked for a motion to except the Scratchings as posted. A motion was made by PDD Ray Brown and seconded by PDD Scott Shermeyer, all in favor, motion carried.

Pound Keeper PDD Manchester talked about the importance of recruiting new members from the respective MCL Detachment. Pound Keeper PDD Manchester asked about the strengths of each MCL Detachment within Pound 370.
NEW BUSINESS:
1. Advancement at the NC Pack Spring Growl on Saturday, April 10, 2026. Location: Hilton Garden Inn, 1016 Jacksonville Parkway, Jacksonville, NC 28546.
PUP Albert “Sonny” Bell and PUP Mike Lynch plan to advance to DD at the NC Pack Growl April 10, 2026.
Registration is now open for the DoNC Spring Membership Meeting. You must register for the meeting to attend the Growl.
2. 156 pounds of dog and cat food were collected at the Growl of the Pound. Dog food will be donated to the Havelock Animal Shelter.
3. Time and location of the Pound 370 Spring 2026 Growl of the Pound.
a. A date of 14 or 21 March 2026 was proposed. The location will be in the Swansboro area. Information will be published once a location is secured.
GOOD OF THE ORDER:
1. Pound Keeper PDD Manchester briefed the dogs on the Memorial Service held for our 61st Chief Devil Dog, CDD PDD Jeffrey Jones. A program for the November 1, 2025 service was passed around for the members to read. PDD Manchester read the thank you card from Leigh Ann Jones for the Pound 370’s donation to the celebration of life for CPDD Jones. A celebration of life was held at Leigh Ann’s home after the memorial service.
2. NC Pack, Worthy Junior Vice Pound Keeper, PDD Steve Tracy briefed the Pound on the status of the Pack. He reported the number of Dogs in each Pound. Total membership was 234 Dogs. He asked that we try to increase our numbers by 10 percent.

The 2025 Fall Membership Meeting is Oct 3 - 4, 2025 in Salisbury. The Pack Growl will be at the Holiday Inn Express and the meeting will be at the Salisbury VA Center, Bldg 6.

At 0830 all Dogs partook in some Kibbles and some soft round chewy treat-treats, and all were well fed and watered.
Pound Keeper PDD Mike Maddox called to order the Growl of the CWO3 Edward J. Albus Pound #370 Military Order of the Devil Dogs at 0940. Pound Keeper called for a moment of silence to remember those Dogs that have reported to the Supreme Commandant.
Pound Keeper Opening Statement:
A welcome was given to all members for the Growl.
Police Dog DD Ray Brown leads the Pledge of Allegiance.
Dog Trainer PDD Alex “Gunner” Nevgloski Sr. gave the Opening Prayer and a moment of silence for our fallen brothers and sisters.

PDD Manchester asked for a motion to except the Scratchings as posted A motion was made by PDD Alex “Gunner” Nevgloski Sr. and seconded by DD Joe Beam Jr., all in favor, motion carried.

OLD BUSINESS:
PDD Scott Shermeyer shows the Dogs of the Pound an example of the check that will be presented at the NC Pack Grand Growl on June 7, 2024. The check is presented as part of PDD Ron Ambrose Change For Children’s Fund.
SPECIAL BUSINESS REQUIREMENTS:
What The Woof Games: A Marine Corps trivia game was held and prizes were awarded for the most correct answers.
NEW BUSINESS:
1. A Certificate of Appreciation was presented to the staff of the Swansboro Moose for their continued support of the CWO3 Edward J. Albus Pound #370, NC Pack, Military Order of the Devil Dogs (MODD).
2. Motion made to donate dog and cat food collected at this Growl be taken to the Carteret County Humane Society, Newport, North Carolina as part of our Operation Chow Hound.
3. PUP Al Farrell will advance to the degree of Devil Dog (DD) at the NC Pack Grand Growl to be held on June 7, 2024. At the next CWO3 Edward J. Albus Pound #370, NC Pack Pound Growl he will be officially installed into office.
4. NC Pack Worthy Pack Leader, PDD Keith Shearin briefed the Dogs on upcoming events and ideas when holding a Growl. He talked about new Black Coin idea for new Pups.
GOOD OF THE ORDER:
1. Donations were collected for the Children’s Hospital in honor of PDD Ron Ambrose.
2. Because of the generosity of the Dogs of CWO3 Edward J. Albus Pound #370, NC Pack, 225 pounds of dog food will be dropped off at the Carteret County Humane Society, Newport, North Carolina as part of our Operation Chow Hound. Drop off will be done by PUP Al Farrell
3. PDD Steve Tracy reported that Marine Corps League Swansboro Detachment #1407 is conducting a Kayak Raffle. Tickets are $10 and the drawing is 25 May 2024.
4. PDD Alex “Gunner” Nevgloski Sr. reported that Marine Corps League Swansboro Detachment #1407 is conducting a 5K Run and 1 mile Fun Run on 25 May 2024. Location is Emerald Island, NC at 0800.
5. PDD Tim Manchester reported that Marine Corps League Swansboro Detachment #1407 and CWO3 Edward J. Albus Pound #370, NC Pack will have a display tent at the Swansboro Military Appreciation Day. The event will be held on 1 June 2024 at Hammock Beach State Park, 1572 State Rd 1511, Swansboro, NC 28584 from 1000-1500.
CLOSING CEREMONY:
